Volunteer Signup for NEM

It’s simple and easy to register and volunteers are provided with all necessary resources to be successful in giving the classroom presentation.

After signing up, the BEC matches volunteers with classrooms based on preferences given for grade level, subject taught, school location and other pertinent information identified by the volunteer.

Volunteers are the heart of the National Engineers Month (NEM) program. Their enthusiasm, devotion and passion for their profession light up classrooms each February and leave a lasting footprint for students to follow.

90% of volunteers say their involvement is worthwhile year-after-year on the annual NEM survey.

Eligible Volunteers

Volunteers must work for or be a member of an NEM partner organization to participate. Volunteers include engineers, technicians, IT professionals – any representative of STEM-based careers.
