Results that Matter: 21st Century Skills and High School Reform, Partnership fro 21st Century Skills www.21centuryskills.org
The Partnership for 21st Century Skills has developed a unified, collective vision for 21st century learning that can be used to strengthen American high schools. The Partnership has identified six key elements of 21st century learning: core subjects, 21st century content, learning and thinking skills, information and communications technology (ICT) literacy, life skills and 21st century assessments. Farrington, Camille and Small, Margaret (2008) A New Model of School Assessment for the 21st Century Describes a charter school in Chicago serving girls that is changing the system by which high school students pass courses and earn course credits.
